We had brunch here on Sunday and both the food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. We enjoyed the burger, pancakes, and bacon and eggs. We were super happy to add Rockenwagner to our brunch rotation!

As you entered this restaurant, you can't help but to glare at all the goodies behind the case. You eyes will wander, it's hard to stay focused at one area when it all looks so good! The muffins, the scones, the croissants, the cookies... You are greeted when you enter, then asked if you need any help. Take your time, choose what you really want. The basic croissant is delicious. Scones are good. Drinks are a must.... Their barista makes great espresso drinks. Anything breakfast is awesome! Love their burrito and sandwiches. The dining area is right inside past the quick to-go stuff. It's a step up from ground level is beautifully decorated. Come try this place, it's a great bakery.

This is my regular coffee and pastry place. Coffee is great and I love trying the different pastries they have. My favorite so far is the vegan lemon poppy seed scone and apple muffin. There is sometimes a line up on the weekends, however they have an online ordering system which helps skip the line. They have some outside seating on a first come first serve basis. Makes for a great place to drink coffee, eat the scone and hang out with my dog

Unique bakery with good croissant, but even better muffins. Decoration was chic and will go definitely back again.

Second time in and it was as just good as the first. This time we got the breakfast burrito with tots, breakfast sandwich, plain croissant, triple berry scone, and German ginger cookies. I throughly enjoyed everything with the exception of the triple berry scone as it was like a hard pancake and not for me. The burrito was perfectly balanced and delicious. The German ginger cookies were the best I've had from a local bakery- so good! Perfect ginger flavor and texture. Friendly service, cute space. Street parking with very high curbs.

This is a small bakery/cafe located a few miles from Venice Beach and they are making delicious baked goods here and breakfast/lunch food! When you walk in you are shown the display case full of freshly made croissants and desserts and friendly staff greeting you as you walk in! I got several items - Plain Croissant, Pretzel Croissant, and the Jalapeno Cheese Bread. All 3 were delicious but my favorite of the three was the Pretzel croissant. It had the great texture of the regular croissant but with a little bit more chew and saltiness that you would expect from a regular pretzel. The interior is warm and inviting and there are tables right in the main dining area that you can sit and dine in at or some tables right out front. Plenty of people come by for to-go orders but the lines typically move quick. The baked goods here are absolutely delicious and worth the higher price you see from a quality bakery and the next time I stop by, I'm gonna try some of their food from their menu!

The place is smaller but comfortable. They have a lot of variety and fresh croissants and breads! The services is very nice too! The girls are very friendly The pain the chocolate was delicious! The croissant big and fresh! My kids share a plate with pancakes, sausage and eggs. They love the pancakes but not to much the eggs and sausage My husband enjoyed a pretzel croissant the croissant was very good He really liked it, the only thing he said was that the basil flavor was too strong, especially for a breakfast, and it overpowered the flavor of the egg and avocado.

Friendly service and really good pastries. Been here a few times for dine in. The front has a bakery and some items you can pick up and take. The back has dine in seating. I've ordered the pretzel croissant sandwich before that was really good. I definitely recommend that if you come here. My friend enjoyed the breakfast burrito. Tried the chicken salad when I came here last time. It's a good portion for one person but nothing amazing about it. I definitely recommend the pretzel croissant sandwich if you come here.

I went here for brunch as I was in the area, and it is a fairly popular bakery and breakfast spot. I went around 9:30am and there was a line out the door, but that's basically the queue since there's not much space to line up inside the bakery. It took about 5 minutes before my turn to order, which is not too bad. Parking is street parking, most of which is metered. A lot of reviews mentioned the pretzel croissant as one of their specialities so I ordered the pretzel croissant breakfast sandwich with a vanilla latte dine-in. The breakfast sandwich was good as the eggs were prepared over easy as requested and the fusion of flavors of the bacon, aioli, and eggs were excellent. The pretzel within the croissant had a nice slight sweetness to enhance the dish. I opted for house salad instead of tater tots for the side as I was not feeling a heavy meal, and the salad was decent. I took off a star because they never asked me if I wanted the latte in a to-go cup or a mug, as was the case for others dining, as I observed I was the only one to have the drink in a to-go cup with no choice. I'd have had a better experience if the coffee were served in a mug for the aesthetics and temperature regulation.

I saw Rockenwagner on an Eater's best-of list and was also recommended by a friend. My experience here was just okay--not great, not bad...kind of unremarkable. My partner and I ordered a few pastries to go (a lox and everything bagel Danish, a bear claw, and a pretzel), a loaf of their raisin pecan bread, and two entrees--a pretzel croissant breakfast sandwich and a pretzel bun burger (It was 11:30 AM and we wanted the best of both pretzel worlds). General thoughts: Entrees: I am a pretzel lover and the pretzel bun and croissant didn't scratch the itch. Maybe it's the lack of lye flavoring? The burger and sandwich were both decently cooked and made with fresh ingredients. I truly think it is criminal that a breakfast sandwich costs 15 dollars nowadays, but hey, welcome to LA/Southern California. Pastries: We made the mistake of waiting to eat the pastries until the next morning. They lost that day of freshness, so that's 100% on us. The lox/everything bagel Danish was beautiful and such a creative idea, but it was missing something...and ultimately made me want to eat an actual lox and bagel. I don't remember what the bear claw tasted like but remember that it was filled with frangipane. The pretzel was probably my favorite out of the bunch, but I think there was too much cheese on it (which is rarely an issue). Bread: The pecan raisin loaf is pretty good toasted with butter. I am not sure if it is baked the same day it is sold (or even baked on-site?), as the loaf was packaged in an additional layer of plastic. I wish it had more of a crusty exterior/soft interior that most fresh artisanal loaves have. Rockenwagner's fine and I would like to come back to give it another chance, but with Lodge Bread so close...
